A two-year-old Burnet girl died Wednesday from injuries suffered at her home.
Foul play is not expected but the Burnet Police Department is conducting a full investigation, according to a statement issued by the department this morning.
Police responded to a residence in the northeast section of the city at about 5 p.m. Wednesday and found the child bleeding from the head area and having trouble breathing.
The child was transported to Seton Highland Lakes Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Burnet County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Lisa Whitehead ordered an autopsy to be conducted.
The police did not relase the identity of the child.
