NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTIONNOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION
TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF COTTONWOOD SHORES, TEXAS, AND ALL OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:
Notice is hereby given that the City of Cottonwood Shores, Texas (the City) will hold a Special Election jointly with the Burnet Consolidated Independent School District; the Cities of Bertram, Burnet, Granite Shoals, and Marble Falls, Texas; Clearwater Ranch Municipal Utility District No. 1; Burnet County Municipal Utility District No. 2; and Lake LBJ Water Control and Improvement District No. 1, on May 11, 2013, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., at the Marble Falls Courthouse South Annex, 810 Steve Hawkins Parkway, Marble Falls, Texas 78654, for the purpose of duly qualified resident electors voting with regard to reauthorization of a local sales and use tax at the rate of one-fourth of one percent (0.25%) to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets.

Early voting ballots for voting by mail may be obtained from and mailed to the Early Voting Clerk at the Records Building, located behind the Burnet County Courthouse Annex, 1701 E. Polk St., Burnet, Texas 78611, and shall be received through 7:00 p.m. on may 11, 2013. The Early Voting Clerk shall keep the offices for early voting by personal appearance open for such purposes during the times listed above on each day which is not a Saturday, Sunday, or official State holiday, beginning on Monday April 29, 2013 and continuing through Tuesday, May 7, 2013.
Only qualified resident voters of the City shall be entitled to vote at said election.
Such election shall be held and conducted and returns made to the city Council of the City of Cottonwood Shores, Texas, in accordance with the Texas Election Code, as amended.
