The Marble Falls Economic Development Corporation has the future of Main Street in its sights.

During a meeting on Wednesday, the EDC Board of Directors voted to submit their property acquisition and development plan for approval by Marble Falls City Council.

Marble Falls Executive Director Christian Fletcher said the EDC is looking to finalize the acquisition of eight properties in the Avenue H, Yett and south Main Street area.

“Currently, we are assembling land in the area to continue historic Main Street to the lake,” he said.

The amount of Money the EDC is going to spend is way over board. And just what do they proposed to do if the last land owner does not want to sell or wants more money? Hmm. Maybe condemn it and steal it?

The Police Station is the biggest eyesore and waste of space on Main Street. Its out of place and needs to be relocated.
