Ida Edward King Norris Passed away July 2 at Llano Nursing and Rehab Center in Llano, Texas. She was born Dec. 9, 1929 in Brady, Texas to Jodie and Ollie (Wash) King. Ida was a resident of Llano since 1967 coming from Austin. She was baptized in San Saba Full Gospel Church. She married Charles (Buster) Norris on April 2, 1962 in Acuna, Mexico. Ida worked as a waitress, a grocery clerk and as a veterinarian helper; she enjoyed fishing, gardening, country music, friends and family. She loved to talk, and she loved her pet named sugar. She was preceded in death by husband Charles (Buster) Norris in 1999, and her parents Jody and Ollie (Wash) King. Survivors include daughter Betsy Rogers of Fort Worth; stepsons Charlie Norris and wife of Houston, and Dudley Norris of San Saba; and step-daughter Juanita Kay Yarbrough and husband of San Saba. She was also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 5 at 10 a.m. at the Llano City Cemetery with Rev. Richard Hood officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of your choice.
