The Lower Colorado River Authority will pay a steep price for swapping out former General Manager Becky Motal for new GM Phil Wilson and his new senior executive team.

Motal, who left her position in 2013 after two difficult years running LCRA, had a base annual salary of $395,000. Wilson’s base salary has been set at $425,000.

Wilson hired five senior executives whose base salaries will average $262,000 a year, LCRA spokeswoman Clara Tuma confirmed Thursday.
