This week, residents and visitors will notice a number of creative characters along the right-ofway, on sidewalks and in local parks.

Highland Lakes Creative Arts (HLCA) is hosting the artists for the 2024 Paint the Town event with activities for the public as well.

The nonprofit group coordinates plein air (outdoor) artists from across the region working in var- ious media to capture the outdoor sights and scenes of historic Marble Falls and the panoramic Texas Hill Country that surrounds it.

Paint the Town activities for the public are happening from April 21-27.

The artists’ works are featured inside Lakeside Pavilion, 305 Buena Vista Drive, through Saturday, April 27. “Plein air” refers to a 19th century style of painting outdoors that was a feature of French impressionist art.

For the local event, attendees of all ages will be able to participate in a wide variety of artistic activities and, of course, purchase the art displayed at the pavilion.
