Before Burnet County exits Texas congressional District 11, U.S. Rep. Mike Conaway made a few stops on a Hill Country tour as a way of saying goodbye and affirming his status as the area representative until the end of the year.

"This is a bittersweet experience,” Conaway said. "I’ve been serving you guys for eight years and made a lot of good friends in this area. I am your member of Congress through December, and you’re going to be well represented by a man named Roger Williams, if you elect him. But, I hate losing you guys.”

Burnet County will be part of the new District 25 in January 2013.
