Northstar merging into MF bank scene

The owners of Treaty Oak Bank in Marble Falls have decided to merge it with their most recent acquisition, Northstar Bank, rebranding part of the company’s banking arm in Texas.

Carlile Bancshares, Inc., acquired Northstar, which currently has 10 branches concentrated in the Dallas and Denton area, on July 2 of this year. Starting Nov. 5, they will combine it with Treaty Oak and its five locations in Central Texas – four in the Austin area and one in Marble Falls – will become Northstar banks.

"From a branding standpoint, we’ll keep the Northstar name,” Carlisle President and CEO Don Cosby said. "Northstar is quite a big bigger than Treaty Oak, and we’re hoping to bring new products and services to our customers in the Central Texas area.”

Treaty Oak Bank locations, including the one at 507 RR 2147 in Marble falls, will close Saturday, Nov. 3, in preparation of the changeover. . The following Monday, Nov. 5, all branches will become Northstar Bank.
