Welcome
rains brought some relief to the Highland Lakes early Sunday, leaving an inch
or more in many locations.
Tow
in northern Llano County recorded 1.61 inches while Bertram in eastern Burnet
County tallied 1.73 inches, according to the Lower Colorado River Authority,
while Marble Falls recorded a little over an inch. An unofficial gauge in Horseshoe
Bay recorded 1.6 inches.
Sunday’s
high was expected to get to about 82 degrees with a slight chance of more
thunderstorms. Sunday night’s low was forecast to be about 57 degrees with
winds out of the north at 5 to 10 mph. There is a 10 percent chance of rain on
Monday, weather forecasters noted.

8 a.m. Sunday:
