The general manager of the Kingsland Municipal Utility District was arrested Oct. 19 and charged with breaking into a woman’s home and threatening her and her kid’s lives. Paul D. O’Brian, 37, was initially held in jail without bond but after a hearing Oct. 25, Judge Dan Mills granted him a $75,000 bond and he paid it and was released under the condition that he have no contact with the victim, court records show. No trial date has yet been set. According to an Affidavit for Arrest, signed by Llano County Justice of the Peace Linda Ballard, the incident occurred Oct. 18. The affidavit said O’Brian and the victim had a one-night
affair in August 2012. According to the affidavit, the incident was sparked by
both O’Brian’s and the victim’s kids. O’Brian’s kids found out about the affair
from the victim’s children, which led to a confrontation between the kids. |
