Christmas underway in Granite Shoals

November 26, 2012, 9:00 pm by Glynis Crawford Smith

As volunteers deck greenery for the Christmas by the Highway illumination display on RR 1431 in Granite Shoals, preparations are underway also for the Dec. 8 Christmas Outreach Barbecue and the City of Granite Shoals Lighting Contest.

Christmas by the Highway will light up Thursday night about 6:15 p.m. in a small ceremony with City officials before City Council Members return to City Hall for a re-scheduled Council meeting.

Christmas Outreach is a non-profit effort that has provided toys for needy children for the last decade and the barbecue sponsored by the Granite Shoals Police Officers Association is one of its mainstays.
