Woman hospitalized in semi crashDecember 12, 2012, 12:20 am by Adam Troxtell
A wreck involving a semi-truck carrying an oversized load on TX 71 sent a Llano woman to the hospital last night. Mildred Simpson suffered minor, non-life threatening injuries
in the crash that happened around 7 p.m., according to Officer Tina Harvey of the Marble Falls Police Department. She was the passenger in a Ford F-150
truck being driven westbound by her husband, Jimmy, that struck a tractor
trailer carrying a bulldozer as it pulled out of the Scott & White medical
clinic construction site to travel east on TX 71. All damage was confined to
the front end of the Ford truck. Both Jimmy Simpson and the driver of the
tractor trailer, Paul Tupper, were not injured in the crash, although both Simpsons complained of chest pain. Mildred Simpson was transported to Seton Highland Lakes Hospital in Burnet. |
