Three arrested on robbery charges

December 24, 2012, 6:00 pm by Adam Troxtell

Two men were arrested Thursday and another on Dec. 13 on charges of robbery for an incident that occurred Dec. 1.

John Michael Vincent Castillo, 20, of Marble Falls was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 13 on the charge of robbery and Jacob Andrew Jones, 26, and Ruben Alejandro Castillo, 46, were arrested on Dec. 20 at their homes in Marble Falls on the same charge. It is unknown whether Ruben Castillo and John Castillo are related.

On Saturday, Dec. 1 at about 9 p.m., Marble Falls Police officers responded to a call of a fight in progress at the Rivercrest Apartments. When officers arrived, they could not locate a fight, said Marble Falls Sergeant Tom Dillard.

It wasn’t until 10 p.m. that a victim surfaced in the parking lot of First United Methodist Church with cuts and bruises on his face and head. Police said the victim reported that the injuries had been sustained during a robbery at the Rivercrest Apartments an hour earlier, during which cash and a cell phone were stolen.
