Tree House thieves steal liquor, beer

December 31, 2012, 6:00 pm by Adam Troxtell

The Tree House Bar and Grill was the victim of a burglary over the weekend when thieves broke in and stole some of the establishment’s alcohol.

Owner of The Tree House Mary Watson called Marble Falls Police Sunday afternoon when she arrived to find the back door open. Watson has had her bar closed for over a week.

"At the end of the year, I close for vacation,” Watson said. "They went through the back door, broke in and stole a bunch of liquor and beer. I imagine it’s someone who’s having a New Years party.”

Watson said no money was taken, since she never keeps any there when the bar is not open. Marble Falls Police Capt. Glenn Hanson said thieves made off with $918 worth of liquor and $120 worth of beer.
