FBI seeks public help in bank robbery
The bank robbery suspect, pictured above, was last seen wearing dark clothes and a cap with what appears to be a fox on the front. The FBI is seeking tips from the public to help solve the case.

The FBI has entered the investigation to identify the person that robbed the American Bank of Texas in Kingsland of an undisclosed amount of cash last week and is asking for assistance from local residents.

"The FBI is here reviewing some of the tape,” said Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, whose office is also investigating the case. "They normally get involved in cases like this.”

At around 5 p.m. on Friday when the bank lobby is open until 6 p.m., someone walked into the bank on RR 2900, passed a teller a note, took the money and left on foot toward the H-E-B nearby.

"The note said that this was a robbery and to give him the money,” Blackburn said. "He took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. We’re not sure of his direction of travel.”

The suspect was described by authorities as a white, possibly Hispanic, male wearing dark jeans, dark jacket, black ball cap with gray lettering with a logo that may been a fox, had a five o’clock shadow or scruffy beard, was about 5’7 to 5’9, weighing 150 to 175 pounds and in his early 20s.

Anyone who has any information that would assist authorities should contact the Llano County Sheriff’s Office at 325.247.5050.
