Two arrested in another Wal-Mart theft

March 07, 2013, 7:00 pm by Alexandria Randolph

Following a second copy-cat Wal-Mart theft, Marble Falls Police arrested two men from Copperas Cove Thursday after a foot chase that began at the store on US 281.

Brandon Wallace, 18, and Dillon Hruzek, 17, were arrested by Marble Falls Police at 12:33 p.m. Thursday on one charge each of organized retail theft between $500 and $1,500, and charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of marijuana, respectively. Police said the value of the merchandise stolen was a little over $1,400.

Police said that the two men attempted a theft very similar to a recent theft at Wal-Mart in which three women and two men, all unidentified, walked out of the store with merchandise worth $2,291.68. This reported theft is another ‘copy-cat’ of a string of Wal-Mart thefts that began in November and extended from Wisconsin to Texas.
