‘Options open’ for GOP chair

The chair of the Burnet County Republican Party, Linda Rogers, announced to a meeting of the Burnet County Republican Women’s Club on Thursday that she is weighing her options for the 2014 GOP primary election.
"I am leaving my options open for running for office,” she said.
Rogers, who spoke at the meeting, said she has not ruled out
running for re-election. In answer to a question, she said she is not
considering running for any other state post.
She was appointed chair in 2005 and has since been elected
to four two-year terms. She is married to Austin lobbyist Johnnie B. Rogers, who critics contend
improperly involved himself in county primary Republican politics while he was
a member of the Republican state executive committee and his wife was county
