MFHS choir has nine qualify for regionals

October 08, 2012, 5:45 pm by Adam Troxtell

Nine members of the Marble Falls High School choir advanced to the regional round of the Texas Music Educators Association auditions after qualifying from district.

Over 750 students competed for 250 regional slots in district auditions held on Sept. 29 at Cedar Park High School. MFHS Choir Director Bryce Gage said sending nine students on to the next round of the competition is consistent with past district performances.

"Typically, 75 to 80 percent of our choir students who audition normally move on to Regionals,” Gage said. "We’re right in line with that again this year. This is a great group with solid focus; I believe we have a good shot at repeating State-level honors.”
