Dowdle pleads guilty, gets probationOctober 16, 2012, 5:00 pm by James Walker
Suzanne Dowdle has pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence after her son, Coy, was fatally stabbed in November 2009 by her then-boyfriend, Dwayne Nash, ending a nearly three year long saga. Dowdle, the mother of former 33rd/424thdistrict attorney candidate Angela Dowdle, entered the plea on the third degree felony charge Tuesday afternoon in a 33rd District Court hearing. She now faces a fine of $1,000 plus court costs and five years of probation on deferred adjudication, meaning it is not technically considered a criminal conviction by the state.
