M’Falls Business Center celebrates 30 good years
Karen and husband Patrick Carter appeared in a special insert of The Highlander newspaper in 1983 when their business opened.

Patrick and Karen Carter, owners of Business Center Printing & Office Supply on 3410 US 281, are celebrating 30 years in business with the introduction of the third generation of office supply business.

The Carter’s daughter Sarah Batch will be holding the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Fredericksburg Printing and Office Supply on Jan. 16, which is 30 years to the day after her parents opened the Business Center in Marble Falls.

"Sarah wanted to get into the same business,” Patrick Carter said. "She’s independent of us, though.”

Carter said that he feels fortunate that his business has been serving Marble Falls for the past 30 years.

"They say four out of five small businesses fail in the first five years, so I guess we’ve been lucky,” he said.

Congratulations! Looks like luck has nothing to do with it. Hard work usually does the trick. Good luck to Sarah and the new bizniz.
