MFISD to hold Monday performance hearing

February 14, 2013, 9:00 pm by Adam Troxtell

An annual report on the status of Marble Falls ISD schools under state and federal standards will be given at a required public hearing Monday during the Board of Trustees meeting.

The Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) hearing on Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. will present 2012 performance levels. AEIS is a collection of statistics – such as attendance, state assessment test results, and criminal or violent disciplinary incidents – that is used by state and federal government to determine school performance for the year.

Performance levels have an impact on the amount of state and federal funding school districts receive.
