Murder suspect jailed; faces drug charge

Trichelle Allen, who has been out of jail on bond after being arrested for murder in the shooting death of her husband July 1, was back in the Burnet County jail after sheriff’s deputies arrested her Wednesday evening.
Burnet County jail records indicate that Allen was booked into the jail at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday after deputies arrested her at her home at 1400 CR 320 on an outstanding warrant issued by Bexar County for possession of marijuana.
She was released Thursday morning after posting a $1,600 surety bond.
Allen’s attorney, Eddie Shell, said she was arrested after
she failed to appear for a hearing after being arrested for marijuana
Allen, who was released from jail Aug. 8 after posting $400,000 bond, was at her home at 1400 CR 320 attempting to recapture her dog that had gotten loose and was on property owned by Bryan Allen’s parents and called the sheriff’s office, Shell said.
"She did not want to go on their property after the dog,”
Shell said. "After the deputies got there they ran a warrant check and the
Burnet County Sheriff W. T. Smith, who was in
Capt. Archie Hollingsworth, who was the sheriff’s department patrol supervisor on duty Wednesday evening, did not return a phone call requesting information about the incident.
