The 17th annual Scout-A-Rama, hosted by the Marble Falls Noon Lions Club, kicked off on Oct. 12-13 at Johnson City Park in Marble Falls with shouts of laughter and an air of service club community.

More than 300 Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts met this weekend for two fun-filled days of activities, food and awards. The event hosted troops and packs from Kyle, Kingsland, Spicewood, Marble Falls and many other service groups from throughout the central Texas area and Hill Country during an annual get together.

"This year’s turnout was great,” said Lions Club member Bud Lowry. "This is the 17th year we’ve hosted this event, and you can tell just how much the kids enjoyed it. This is also the first year the Cub Scouts have been able to attend and it was so great to see them out here too.”
