Local dog sees international limelightOctober 18, 2012, 7:30 pm by Alexandria Randolph
Dudley, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, is the lead performer in a student video that has gone viral. The well-viewed YouTube video, titled Ruff Dog Day, features Dudley preparing for a regular work day, toothbrush and all. After it’s initial posting on Sunday, the video has quickly gained international popularity and over 165,000 views. Dudley’s owner is Charli Kilpatrick, a 2008 graduate of Marble Falls High School who will graduate with a degree of government from the University of Texas in December. Kilpatrick said that she created the video for a class project. "Making videos is a hobby of mine, but this particular video
was done for a communications class at the University of Texas,” Kilpatrick
said. "The objective was to create a short video or blog and get 1,000 views by
December. We were learning hands about circulation and how to publicize.” For the full story, see Friday's Highlander. To see Kilpatrick's video, visit http://youtu.be/IE1oYiU-MXM |
