Los Escondidos annexation ‘not off table’

After approving the annexation of over 1,000 acres to the south of the city on US 281 amidst controversy from a number of local landowners, Marble Falls city officials can now turn their attention to the Los Escondidos subdivision on Lake Marble Falls to see if it can also be brought into the city limits.

In the summer, both the southern US 281 corridor and Los Escondidos, which sits along Lake Marble Falls to the southeast of the bridge, were identified as areas the city was interested in annexing. City Manager Ralph Hendricks said at the end of July that instead of working on both areas at the same time, city staff would first work on bringing in the 281 corridor before working on Los Escondidos.

"It’s not at the forefront, but it’s not off the table,” Hendricks said. "We put a lot of staff time into the 281 annexation and put Los Escondidos aside. Now, we can start to work more on survey results and cost estimates.”

The City has Yet to full fill its Obligations of the LMF subdivision that was annexed in 2008. But they are still forcing out lying areas into their greedy little hands. The areas they are taking over is ONLY to get more money to pay city Debt.
