Marble Falls tennis team ready for district

In a warmup for the upcoming district team tennis, the squad dropped matches to Fredericksburg and Wimberley.

Against Wimberley on Sept. 25, they lost, 10-9.

The Marble Falls girls dominated the play with eight of the wins.

Stripling/Holder lost 7-8 (2-7)

Edwards/Baskin won 8-4

M.Cryer/Dockery won 8-0

McCannon/McCasland won 8-0

Mixed Doubles

T. Cryer/McCrocklin lost 4-8

Marble Falls tennis team won five matches, but lost 10-5 in Fredericksburg on Sept. 18.

Leading the way in victories were junior Mike Stripling with a 2-6, 6-0, 10-5 win and sophomore Madison Dyer with a 6-4, 6-0 triumph in singles.

Freshman Jared Edwards won, 6-4, 6-1. Picking up the other two wins were the girls doubles teams of Dyer/Kelsey McCasland, 4-6, 6-3, 10-5, and Mattie Cryer/Hannah Dockery, 7-5, 6-2.
