Tennis team beats Vista Ridge

Marble Falls girls continue to dominate in team tennis with a strong showing Tuesday at Vista Ridge. Marble Falls won the team tennis outing, 10-4, over the Vista Ridge Rangers.
The victory pushes the Mustangs to 1-1 in District 25-4A matches.
All four girls singles won as well as the three girls doubles teams.
Junior Madison Dyer over powered her opponent, 6-1, 6-2, while teammates Hannah Dockery won, 6-1, 6-0; Tess Cryer, 6-0, 6-2; and Kaylin Zavala, 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles, Dyer/Dockery won, 6-1, 6-1; and Lauren Parten/Makenzie Harrison won, 6-1, 6-4; and AnneClaire McCannon/Savannah Vincent won 6-3, 6-1.
The boys picked up three victories from Mike Stripling and Michael Holder. They won as doubles partners, 6-3, 6-1; and in singles, too. Stripling won, 6-1, 6-0; and Holder took a 6-1, 7-5 decision.
In boys doubles, Noah Guillen/Liam Baskin lost 4-6, 6-4, (10-7 in third set tiebreaker) and Reagan Hanish/Jordan Childress lost, 6-0, 6-0.
Hanish fell, 6-1, 6-1, in singles.
Marble Falls returns to action Tuesday, Sept. 17 at Leander High School.
Dripping Springs, Vandegrift and Cedar Park round out the district schedule.
Teams will be seeded after the Sept. 27 matches and have a playoff to advance to the post-season.
