Flames improve to 9-0 with blowout win

Faith Academy rolled to a 62-13 win over Texas Christian of Waco Friday night behind a four-touchdown performance from Brian Freeman in Waco.

Freeman, the team’s rushing leader on the season, scored on three touchdown runs and on one pass reception to pace the blowout win. The Flames led 44-6 at halftime in the TAPPS Class 2A game.

The Flames are 9-0 on the season and meet Central Texas Christian of Temple in the regular season finale next week in Temple.

Faith Academy can claim the district title outright next week and earn a better seeding for the playoffs.
