Georgia Smarr, 59, of Marble Falls, passed from this life Oct. 8, in Austin following a lengthy illness. She was born Sept. 1, 1953, to John and Didi Callas Petro in Long Island, N.Y. She married Jerry Smarr on Nov. 10, 2000. She worked for Security State Bank and Home Corp. Mortgage, as well as a lawyer’s assistant during her career. But she cherished being a good companion and housewife the most. She always volunteered her time to worthy causes, such as the Pet Pals story, where she loved to help take care of the animals. Smarr loved dealing in antiques and participating in her sewing club.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Smarr of Marble Falls, mother Didi Petro of Meadowlakes, brother Greg Petro of Lago Vista, sister JoAnn Petro of Meadowlakes, and nephew Dimitri Cliffton of College Station. Donations can be mailed to the family at 1007 Loma Lane, Marble Falls, to help with medical expenses incurred during her illness.
