Neal Dow Chapman, IV, 29, of Kingsland passed away on Oct. 24 in Mason County, Texas. He was born on Aug. 24, 1983 in Austin, to Neal Dow and Christie Carothers Chapman. Chapman graduated from Liberty Hill High School, and married Crystal Linder on April 19, 2008. He loved road trips, fishing, music, and life in general. He was a loving father, loving husband and son. He loved unconditionally and will be kept alive in our hearts.
He is preceded in death by Neal Dow Chapman, Jr.; H.C. Carothers, and Betty Carothers. He is survived by his loving wife Crystal; children Neal Dow Chapman V, Emma Layton, Megan Layton, and Jarod Layton; parents Neal Dow Chapman III and wife Christie of Liberty Hill; sister Annelle Jane Wilson and husband Kevin of Converse, Texas; brothers Patrick Bruce of Hutto, Charles Bruce and wife Shana of Leander; parents D.L. & Tina Linder of Spicewood; sisters-in-law Angela and husband Tommy Burton of Marble Falls, and Amber and husband Ricky Rowe of Cottonwood; grandmother Sue Chapman of Rollingwood, Texas; 12 nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Edgar Funeral Home Chapel, Marble Falls. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26 at the funeral home.
Honorary Pallbearer are Charles Bruce, Patrick Bruce, Kevin Wilson, Don Sherwood, T.W. Sherwood, Tommy Burton and Ricky Rowe. Following the service a reception will be held at 288 Housefinch Loop, Leander, in the Summerlyn subdivision. Celebration of Life services are pending for a future date.
