Funeral Services for Mrs. Jackie Lee Phillips Harris, 85, of Wilson are scheduled for 10 a.m. on
Wednesday Oct. 31, at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson, Texas with Rev. Bruce Almy officiating.
Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Harris was born April 27, 1927 in Wingate, Texas, to Jefferson Houston Riggs and Lora (Gobbel) Riggs.
She departed this life on Friday, Oct. 26, in Wilson, Okla.
She was raised in West Texas and resided there most of her adult life. She married Horace Dexter Phillips in 1946 after he returned home after serving in WWII. In 1969, they made Marble Falls their home. Horace passed away in 1980. Harris was later remarried to Jimmy Harris in Marble Falls. She continued to reside in Marble Falls until the passing of Jimmy, where then she moved to Wilson, in the mid 1990s. She was a devoted homemaker and worked some as a Beauty Operator. She was a Baptist.
In addition to Horace and Jimmy, she also preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers
Delbert, Felton and Tommy. She is survived by son H.J Phillips and wife Katie of Austin; daughters Brenda McKinnon and husband Marvin of Wilson, Shela Phillips of Wilson; special friend and companion Jim Patrick of Wilson; sister Joyce Rhodan of Sante Fe, N.M.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
Pallbearers will be Craig Wainscott, J. Jackson, Kevin Murray and Jeff Riggs. Visitation will be held at the Wilson Chapel Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m.
