Blondin proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He met and married his wife Linda Fay Sanford while stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin.
He and Linda were married at the base chapel on July 5, 1968. Blondin lived in the Austin area for many years. He had a volunteer spirit. He was an EMT-I and loved driving ambulances. He wrote manuals for numerous high tech companies. He was a technical writer and could write books on just about anything, and he worked as an independent contractor for many large companies. In his spare time he enjoyed taking day trips throughout Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Linda Fay Blondin of Burnet; daughter Danielle Blondin of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and son Tim Blondin.
Graveside services were held at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery 11463 State Highway 195, Killeen, Texas with military honors on Monday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. An online guest register may be signed at www.PutnamCares.com.
Pallbearers will be Richard Baker, Ricky Baker, Micheal Baker, Theron Baker, Zach Baker and Mason Baker. Honorary Pallbearer Matt Baker.
Memorial contributions may be made in Pete’s memory to the American Cancer Society, or the Baptist Men’s Association in Burnet.
