He especially loved coaching and mentoring his own children as well as the youth of his community. Barnard was a loan officer and youth minister in Lampasas for a number of years and was the beloved pastor of Naruna Baptist Church for 12 years. Mark, affectionately known as "Big Daddy,” loved playing football, drinking Dr. Pepper, and going on ski trips to Colorado where he lived for a couple of years. He is survived by wife CJ; mother Lucie; step-father Bill Greene; children Alexis, Michael, Jordan, Mackenzie, Sean, and Jessica Barnard; step-sons Andrew, Daniel, Zachary, and Jacob and wife Oleta Strouth; sister Andrea and husband John Pelczar three grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces. Funeral services were held on Friday morning at Hill Country Fellowship in Burnet. Condolences may be sent to the Mark Barnard Memorial Fund at the First State Bank of Burnet. |
