Graveside services for Douglas "Hoot” Gene Houston, 53, of Fairland Community in Marble Falls will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 15 at Fairland Cemetery with Pastor J.W "Bill” McCormick officiating.
Houston was born on Nov. 18, 1959 in San Antonio to John and Gladys Russell Houston and died on Feb. 10 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was an electrician for KST Electric Company for many years.
He is survived by his wife Captola Houston of Fairland; daughter Reba Houston of Granite Shoals; step-children Richard Dalton and fiancée Christy Brown of Bloomingdale, Ga., Kathy Dalton and husband Kenneth Mike Fell of Jarrell, and Olen Dalton II and wife Kara Dalton of Corpus Christi; grandchildren Albert "Scooter” Reynolds and wife Kayla of Jarrell, Destiny Dalton of Rincon, Ga., Phillip Davila of Jarrell, Alexis Dalton, Kenadi Dalton, and Olen "Lil Man” Dalton III of Corpus Christi; great-grandchild Addyson Reynolds of Jarrell; sisters Jenny Bell of Palacious, and Charlotte Jackson of Kempner; brother John "Bud” Nelson Jr. of Rockdale; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bobby and Lana Vaughn of Fairland, and Roger and Alice Owens of Bertram; nieces and nephews; family and friends; and best friend Wayne Shaw.
