Octavio Arellano Jr., 66, of Burnet passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013.
"Junior,” as he was known, was born on April 18, 1947, in San Antonio to Octavio Arellano, Sr. and Francisca Garcia Arellano.
Junior was employed by the City of Burnet in the Water Department for 12 years and had also worked at Texas Granite for 12 years. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering with small motors and getting together with friends at McDonald’s and Whataburger.
Junior is survived by his daughters Cathy Valdez and husband James, Erica Arellano, and Nina Miller and husband Justin; sons Johnny Arellano and wife Sara and Octavio Mario Arellano.
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters Janie Hernandez and husband Henry, Mary Ramirez and husband Larry, Augustine Gonzales and husband Vicente, Virginia Jungman and husband Leonard, and Betty Morris and husband Dennis; and brothers Ricky Arellano and wife Roseann and Eugene Arellano and wife Belinda.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Robert and Jesse Arellano.
The Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home and the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Burnet.
Burial will follow at Post Mountain Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.clementswilcoxburnet.com.
