presented by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football on behalf of Cavender’s and
Garrett is one of 10 nominees for the weekly
award, which is 100 percent decided by fan voting. The poll, located at

Gray caught 15 passes for
208 yards and five touchdowns against Burnet in a 56-51 Marble Falls victory
last week. The senior has verbally committed to the University of Texas.
Marble Falls volleyball battles Rouse

Marble Falls dropped a tough
match with the Rouse Lady Raiders on the road Tuesday.
Rouse held off the Lady
Mustangs, 25-18, 25-20, 25-16.
In Game 3, Marble Falls had
a 6-0 lead early but made two hitting errors and an unreturned serve to bring
the score to 6-3. Then the Mustangs went on a four-rotation missed serve
streak to allow the Raiders to take a healthy lead.
Marble Falls, Burnet deliver a classic
Football is alive and well in Burnet County.
On Friday night, players and coaches were flying everywhere
and when it was over, Marble Falls quarterback Brennen Wooten and Burnet
quarterback Derek Kiser had combined for 784 yards passing and 11 touchdowns in
a wild 56-51 Marble Falls victory at Bulldog Stadium.
Faith Academy wins, 28-7
Faith Academy jumped out to an early lead and dominated in a
28-7 victory over Eastside Memorial Friday night at Pony Stadium.
Austin Ellis opened the scoring with a 1-yard run for the
Flames and sophomore Jacob Metcalf displayed his speed with a pair of long runs
to help the team coast to a 28-0 halftime lead.
Faith Academy takes on Eastside Memorial

Faith Academy faces a team that gave it one of its biggest
challenges last year on Friday at Pony Stadium.
The Flames take on Eastside Memorial at 7:30 p.m. Friday in
a game that promises plenty of incentive for Faith Academy.
Last year, the Flames came away with a 36-20 win and went on
to win 11 straight games in the team’s first year in 11-man football.
This year, Faith Academy comes into its third game after an
emotional 47-35 win over St. Anthony’s.
Faith Academy trailed 19-0 last week, but erupted in the
Faith Academy coach Russell Roberts expects his team to
start fast and finish faster this week.
JV falls to Burnet, 23-6
Marble Falls junior varsity fell
23-6 to Burnet on Thursday at Mustang Stadium.
The Mustangs defense played
a solid game and the Mustangs were in the game until a late touchdown by the
Bulldogs inflated the score.

Mustangs offense struggled early and late into the second quarter after another
Burnet touchdown the score was 13-0.
The junior varsity football
team will travel to Boerne Champion Thursday for a scheduled 5:30 p.m. kickoff.
Marble Falls JV is 1-2 on
Tennis team beats Vista Ridge
girls continue to dominate in team tennis with a strong showing Tuesday at
Vista Ridge. Marble Falls won the team tennis outing, 10-4, over the Vista
pushes the Mustangs to 1-1 in District 25-4A matches.
All four girls
singles won as well as the three girls doubles teams.
Dyer over powered her opponent, 6-1, 6-2, while teammates Hannah Dockery won,
6-1, 6-0; Tess Cryer, 6-0, 6-2; and Kaylin Zavala, 6-1, 6-2.
Tennis team falls to Rouse

Junior Madison Dyer and
senior Hannah Dockery won their doubles match in straight sets and the No. 3
line of Savannah Vincent and AnneClaire McCannon also took a stregth set

Marble Falls opened its home schedule Friday night with a
resounding 69-25 victory over the Smithville Tigers at Mustang Stadium.
Faith Academy gets "mad'' and rallies for win
Faith Academy stormed back in the second half to score 41 points
and beat St. Anthony’s of San Antonio by a 47-35 count in the home opener for
the Faith Academy Flames at Pony Stadium.
Faith Academy trailed 19-0 out of the blocks and were behind
19-6 at halftime when coach Russell Roberts got his team’s attention in the
