Denise Noelle “Dennie” Owen-Solis, age 52, of Kingsland, Texas passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, at her home in Kingsland. Dennie, as she was known by those who loved her, was born August 10, 1971, in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin to Tom Owen and Sandy (Caucutt) Owen.

Dennie graduated from John Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas. She worked as a waitress for over 10 years and then as Property Manager for many years. She enjoyed being around people, music, and the river. She lived in a lake house for 16 years. She enjoyed concerts, taking pictures, flowers, hunting and the sky at night when she could watch the stars and the moon. She was a big Dallas Stars and Dallas Cowboys fan, and she adored her pets. She has lived in Kingsland since 1999.

A Mass of Christian

Burial for Denise Owen- Solis will be held at 12:30pm Saturday, April 27, 2024, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady with Father Terry Brenon officiating. Interment will fol-low at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels, as well as Saturday morning from 10a to Noon. Dennie is survived by her father, Tom Owen of Dallas, Texas; her mother, Sandy Owen of Maynard, Texas; husband Mike Solis of Kingsland, Texas; father and mother-in-law Marcos and Elizabeth Solis of Brady, Texas; brother Tommy Owen and wife Suzzette of Florida; sister Carrie Enochs of Austin, Texas, sister-in-law Melissa Robles and husband Adrian of Abilene, Texas; aunts Mary Torrez of Brady, Texas, Toni Flores of Bangs, Texas, Fidelia Olivarez of Brady, Texas and Liz Miranda of Abilene, Texas; nieces Elise Owen and Lily Enochs, nephews Luke Owen, Peter Owen and Matthew Enochs and special friends Bill and Mary Jane Holmes.
