The Granite Shoals Police Officer’s Association is sponsoring this year’s Paws for the Cause low cost annual pet vaccination event on Saturday, May 17 from 8 a.m. to noon at Veterans Memorial Park.

In addition to vaccinations, microchipping and nail clipping will also be available, sponsored by Christ-Yoder Animal Shelter. The new Granite Shoals Animal Control Officer Ginnie Fitzpatrick will be in attendance and Dr. Dan McBride of the Burnet Veterinary Clinic will donate his time and expertise. Pets must be on leashes or in carriers, and be accompanied by an adult. Pets must be registered for a one-time lifetime fee of $35 to comply with the city’s pet ordinance.

Veterans Memorial Park is located at 1208 S. Phillips Ranch Road.
