A one-vehicle rollover on RR 1431 on Sunday night is under investigation as a Driving While Intoxicated wreck, but also may be due to texting while driving, police said.

Marble Falls Police Capt. Glenn Hanson said witnesses saw a 2007 Kia Sportage veer off the road in the 2600 block of RR 1431, just west of the Marble Falls cit limits, about 10:15 p.m. Sunday.

“Witnesses reported that they saw a vehicle driving recklessly and it appeared to go off the road,” he said. “It was headed eastbound and went off the right hand side near the PEC (Pedernales Electric Cooperative) substation on RR 1431.”

Hanson said the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was a 21-year-old female resident of Horseshoe Bay. Police are withholding the woman’s name as the investigation of the accident is pending.
