Baylor Scott & White Healthcare officials said Friday that the new hospital on TX 71 has reached an important milestone – the ‘topping-out” of the structure.
The milestone was marked with the traditional placing of a tree at the highest level of the structure.
Following the opening of the clinic portion in June 2013, the construction of the hospital portion began. The 188,000 square foot, four-story facility will house a 24-hr emergency department, 30 medical/surgical hospital beds, intensive care services and other specialty services. It will also include a pharmacy, state-of-the-art imaging technology, and other diagnostic capabilities. It will initially open with 46 beds and is designed for expansion.
