Cottonwood Shores looks to improve streets with grant

The Cottonwood Shores City Council recently approved hiring a grant administrator to tackle an issue with roadway safety. City officials have launched an effort to secure funds through National Roadway Safety Strategy to design a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan to improve and widen streets within the city limits.

City officials have launched an effort to secure funds through National Roadway Safety Strategy to design a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan to improve and widen streets within the city limits.

“The substandard width of our streets creates a major transportation hazard, because it is virtually impossible for two vehicles to pass each other on our streets, without one or both driving off the pavement surface,” according to Cottonwood Shores City Administrator J.
