The Meadowlakes city manager will retire after more than 45 years with the municipality, which he guided during its transformation from a MUD to an incorporated city.
Johnnie Thompson’s contract expires Sept. 30, but he expects to assist city leaders in their quest to bring the construction of a new $7.5 million city center complex to fruition.
“I should be on board through the bidding process,” Thompson said.
