Alta Marie James, age 87 of Spicewood, Tex - as passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born August 23, 1937 to Abner and Stel la (Robins) Smedley in Wardell, Missouri. Alta previously lived in Pasa- dena, Texas.

Alta is survived by her sons; Robert E. James III (Cherie) of LaPorte, Tex as; Greg A. James Sr. of LaPorte, Texas; Scott D.

James (Rita) of Spice- wood, Texas; Sister; Geor gia Mae Snyder (David) of Oregon, Ohio; Brother; Randy Glasgow (Liz) of Cleveland, TX; Step-chil dren; Greg Salcines (Jill) of Thornton, Colorado; Benet Arredondo (Rene) of Austin, Texas; Leigh Ann Smith (Rob) of Hous- ton, Texas; Jack Salcines (Sheila) of Boise, Idaho; Holly Czarnecki (Tom) of Hickory Creek, Texas.

Also surviving 9 grandchildren, 15 step-grand- children, 27 great-grand children, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Alta was preceded in death by Parents; Abner and Stella (Robins) Smedley, Husbands; Robert E.

James Jr. and Benjamin Salcines. Sisters; Tybitha Wood, Glenda Jean Fountain, Joyce Faye Savage.

Brothers; Charles (Chuck) Alvie Bishop, Robert Gail Bishop. Daughter-in-law; Janis K. James, granddaughter; Emily Bordovsky, Niece; Paige Wo- jcinski, Brother-in-law Thomas E. Wood Alta graduated from Pasadena High School in 1956. Alta enjoyed bowl ing, RV camping, Bunco and crafts.

Visitation: Thursday, September 5, 2024 5-7 pm at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, TX.

Funeral Service: Friday, September 6, 10 a.m. at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, TX

Interment: Haynie Flat Cemetery, Hidden Springs Ct., Spicewood, Texas 78669 Pallbearers: Derik James, Bobby James, Gregory James, Andrew Benavides, Jason Graham and Nathaniel Payne.
