The Marble Falls Economic Development Corp. (MFEDC) devoted its last meeting of the cur- rent fiscal year to a brief review of key topics.

During the Sept. 4 meeting in Marble Falls at City Hall, EDC Ex ecutive Director Christian Fletcher mentioned that his recent discussion with Texas Department of Transportation Area Engineer Joe Muck went very well, particularly with regard to the possible installation of new lighting fixtures to illumi - nate nighttime traffic on the U.S. 281 Lake Marble Falls bridge.

“I feel more positive than I have previously about TxDOT's willing ness to collaborate on the project," Fletcher said. "Joe (Muck) said, he feels the maintenance of the bridge lighting should really be TxDOT responsibility." According to offi - cials, the bridge is a state- owned structure and new lighting for the bridge is part of the city long-term parks master plan.
