Burnet County endorses Alliance land law memo

For more than one year, local officials have felt fear and loathing regarding House Bill 3697, one bland land bill Texas lawmakers approved last year, related to county approval and regulation of subdivision plans, com- monly known as "plats."

“I am hopeful the unintended consequences of HB3697 that have been widely voiced across many Texas counties will be addressed during the upcoming (89th) legis- lative session," Burnet County Judge James Oakley told The Highlander Sept. 9.

Based in Dripping Springs, the Hill Country Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to wildlife protection, sensible land use and water security across the area.
