Henry Joseph Koenig. Jr. beloved faltier and grandfather. passed away peacefully on September 12. 2024. in Houston, Texas.

Henry is survived by his children. Mary Lynn Koenig.

Mary Kay Koenig, and Jay Koenig, and Jay's wife Ashley as well as his grandchildren Adrian Fisk. Nina Fisk. Finn Koenig, and Jaxon Koenig.

Bom to Henry and Etna Koenig in Cuero. Texas on February 12,1942. Henry was a hard-working businessman who loved his family.

In 1965 Henry was drafted by the US Army. He proudly served for Wo years as Secretary to the Base Commander at Fort Polk. Louisiana in support of the Vietnam War. Henry was honorably discharged in 1967.

Henry was a proud alumnus of The University of Texas.

Austin where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business. He went on to earn his Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas, Sau Antonio. Henry was a dedicated professional who worked for many years as a commercial construction manager on projects in Los Angeles, Houston. San Antonio, and Austin.

Ever the asmte businessman, Henry, along with his wife Jams, bought Rio Vista Resort, located on Lake LBJ in Kingsland, Texas in 1982. Eventually, he and Jams moved to Kingsland so lie could be hands-on in its running. Herny built several homes and condos at Rio Vista. turning it from a small RV park into a beautiful resort and thriving business.

Henry loved the Texas Hill Comity, particularly Lake LBJ and the people from Rio Vista. He was an avid boater and fisherman for most of his life and spent many of his younger days deep-sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico or waterskiing on Lake LBJ with his family. He loved cruising and took numerous trips, including c mi ses to Europe. Africa, Australia, and South America.

A devoted family man. Henry was the beloved husband of Janis for 55 years, and father to Mary Lynn. Mary Kay. and Jay. Always putting his family first, he provided them with a constant source of encouragement and strength. He took great joy in his children and grandchildren, teaching them they could be anything they set their minds to, A memorial service will be held on Saturday. September 21, 2024 at 10 am at Han ell Funeral Home. 145 Texas Avenue in Kingsland, Texas followed by a reception at Rio Vista Resort.

Visitation will be held the following day. Sunday. September 22. 2024, 1:00 pm at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 pin with Sister Martha Kirk officiating. Inteiment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, 900 N Valley Street in Cuero. Texas followed by a reception at the Cuero Country Club.

Heniy touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
