Meadowlakes city leaders selected a city manager after whittling down a list of dozens of applicants with the assistance of an outside firm.
Officials announced the hiring of William Kenneth De Roos, 31, of Nebraska, following a special meeting on Sept. 16. At that time, councilors interviewed the final two candidates vetted by Clear Career Professionals (CCP).
“We are in the process of drafting his employment contract,” Mayor Mark Bentley shared in a message to citizens. “After it is executed, we expect that he will provide his 30-day written notice to the mayor of Schuyler and prepare for his move to the area.”
