Kingsland features in October range from birding tips to a haunted trail

The Kingsland Garden Club will present "Birds & Landscaping with Na - tive Plants" by Gil Eck - rich. Come for the free program on Friday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m. at the Kingsland Library and stay to learn more about the Club activ - ities. Refreshments and all welcome. The Kingsland/Lake LBJ Chamber & Visi - tor Center will host its monthly "Coffee & Con - versation" on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 8 to 9 a.m., at the Kingsland House of Arts and Crafts, 112 W Cham - berlain Street. Speaker Terri Schexnayder, Mar - keting Specialist for the Chamber, will present "Grassroots Marketing 101 Tips" to help promote your businesses. Sponsor KHAC will provide cof - fee, and a breakfast spread you won't forget.

The Kingsland/Lake LBJ Chamber & Visitor Center will hold its An - nual Membership Meet - ing in conjunction with the "Business Mixer" on Thursday, October 17, 5 to 7 p.m., at the Kingsland Community Park Pavilion. Light refreshments. Free and all are welcome to hear what is going on in your local community and at the Chamber.

The Kingsland/Lake LBJ Chamber & Visitor Center and Hooper's are partnering Oct. 25-26 for the 50th anniversary of the iconic Tobe Hooper 1974 movie with a "Haunted Trail" and food/music/ guest appearances from the film.
