Silver screen event to promote foster care awareness

The Highland Lakes Crisis Network (HLNC) will host a free event to raise awareness about the foster care crisis and ways to help the most vulnerable children in the community.

The community is invited to attend a free showing of the inspir - ing movie, "Sound of Hope," – the Story of Possum Trot will be shown on Oct. 20 at 2 p.m., at the Cinergy Cinema in Marble Falls.

Possum Trot is a tiny town in East Texas where 22 families from the Bennett Chapel church adopted 77 of the most difficult to place children in the local fos - ter care system, igniting a national movement for vulnerable children that continues today.
