Pinktoberfest is underway. This year's annual Pink Out is a huge community activities, like a block party for Marble Falls.
Supported by the Marble Falls Fire Rescue, participants meet Oct. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. to enjoy first responder games, creative activities and more.
Activities start early Thursday morning with pinking out the town, winding up in downtown Marble Falls at Harmony Park and city hall parking lot for a community party filled with pink, fun activities for all ages, and tons of cancer awareness information.
On Friday, organizers will drive around town and make special visits to members in our community who have been affected by cancer.
All proceeds this year will benefit a local non-profit. Marble Falls folks are urged to come out and celebrate – it’s free and fun for all.
Pink Out Marble Falls was formed on a vision to paint the entire town pink to show support for out community members who have cancer, have had cancer, or have a loved one that has been affected by cancer.
The mission is for the community to know we are all here to support those in need.
The fire service as a whole picked up the color pink years ago for the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In keeping with part of that tradition, Marble Falls Fire Rescue starts to wear pink the week of Pink Out.
Pink Out is not just about Breast Cancer – it is an awareness of all types of cancer. It is our goal to focus on those community members who have been affected by cancer no matter what type.
